Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980 and is an American singer and actress. Bell is an Michigan native who was born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish as well as Scottish (father). Kristen developed a talent in the performing arts from the age of a child. When she was in 1992, she went to her very first audition. She got the role on Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mother established her with an agent prior to her turning 13, and she got her first role for television and newspaper commercials. Then she began taking classes in acting. Bell had a minor role that was not credited to her in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell took part in the Drama and Music Club in Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school, and she was awarded the part of Dorothy. After graduating, Bell moved in New York City to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts and studied musical theater. Bell left the university in 2001 and began playing the role of Becky of Tom Sawyer. That same year, she was the first to be credited as Pootie Tang. Pootie Tang (2001), but her scene was cut and she was only seen in the credit sequence. Bell was in Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival that featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
