Madhuri Dixit

MadhuriMadhuri dixit known as an Indian actress, is most well known for her roles as Beta, Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun ..!'. She began her career in the 1980s, and became famous for her role in the film "Tezaab" in which she starred alongside Anil Kapoor who is a veteran actor. She next appeared in the movie 'Dil' in which she shared the screen alongside Aamir Khan. She was born to a Mumbai middle-class family, and started dancing from a young age. As a youngster she tried acting, but failed for a few years. She found success, and she went on to be a leading actor in the Indian film industry. After her wedding was over, she took time off from acting before returning to the entertainment sector. She was also an important role in the film 'Gulaabgang", which was about the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit has been nominated to win 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. She was also presented with the Padma Shri award, India's fourth-highest civilian award. She is well-known for her social work as well.
